Your advisor will spend as much time needed to analyze your current assets and will then use those totals in a detailed risk analysis. Using real account values in the risk analysis helps show the pleasure of gains and the pain of losses. Without real values attached, the percentage of loss and gains can become a bit nebulous.
The service we use for the analysis is Riskalyze. Riskalyze is a great tool to determine what level of risk someone should have. After determining your risk, we compare your current investments risk score with what your risk score should be. Then we make recommendations based on your target risk score.
We compare existing assets with what we recommend and put them thru 4 different stress tests to show what the possible performance could be in 4 very different scenarios. Those recommendations are presented to you, along with what the fees would be, if any for Lighthouse Financial to manage those assets. The majority of our client's assets are held at TD Ameritrade where we can help with the direction and cash management of those assets. Statements are issued directly from TD Ameritrade to you. We have 6 different fund strategies that are comprised of mutual funds and ETFs. In addition we have the following strategies:
